An Introduction to Video Slots

video Slots are possibly the most liked games to enjoy at casinos. On any given night, expect most of the machines to be filled with eager players. They come in a variety of gambling levels; some just cost $.05 a play and others can cost as much as $20 a play. Although slot machines are a wagering tool, a number of folks are intimidated by the big money card tables and prefer the entertainment and excitement of an excellent slot machine.

The earliest mechanical slot machine was built in Eighteen Ninety Five and was called the "Liberty Bell." Created by a California auto mechanic, the first slot games had 3 spinning reels with a cracked Liberty Bell, diamonds, hearts, and spades on each. Prior to this invention, the name "slot machines" was used to characterize several kinds of vending machines.

The first real across the board use of slot machine games in American brick and mortar casinos is credited to the Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas in and around 1940. The owner of the casino had originally thought the machines would be amazing to fascinate apathetic wives of some of the largest high roller customers of the brick and mortar casino. Little did he know that the slots would be a fun activity for nearly everyone and that the appeal would extend further than the tired wives. At this time, it is said, slot machine games comprise over two-thirds of all revenue generated by American casinos.

Slot machine games certainly have a full history. From the petite creation of the late-19th century to the multi-million dollar industry of today, slot machines will continue to grow in universal appeal.
